Two board exams in a year will be beneficial for students: CEGR
New Delhi. Good news for students. There may be a big change in the CBSE Board Exam 2025. The Ministry of Education has accelerated the process of implementing the policy of CBSE board exams twice a year. The central government has sought suggestions from principals across the country to prepare the CBSE board exam pattern. Ravish Roshan, director of the Centre for Education Growth and Research (CEGR), a leading think tank in the field of education in the country, says that keeping in mind the recommendations of the New Education Policy (of 2020), the Department of School Education of the Ministry of Education is now working on several missions, including board examination reform, connecting dropout students with the mainstream. The Ministry of Education has held an important meeting with the principals of CBSE schools regarding the education policy, National Curriculum Framework (NCF) Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry twice a year board exams and other issues. There have been offline and virtual meetings with about 10 thousand principals. They also discussed the issue of conducting exams twice a year. School principals have been asked to give their suggestions and opinions in writing so that their meaningful suggestions can also be studied. Their opinion will also get importance in the decision related to the board exam. CBSE is also working at its own level.

Recently, the UGC has approved the rule of admission twice in a year. To reduce the stress of students, priority is being given to give more options to students. The decision to take the board exam twice in a year will be very beneficial for the students and they will be able to choose the best score from both the exams.
