New Delhi, March 18.
H.E. Mayor of Yeongdeok City, Korea, H.E. Mr. Kwangyeol Kim along with his delegation visited the University of Delhi on March 18, 2024 to convey sincere appreciation for donation by the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, University of Delhi during his visit to Hi-Wellness FESTA 2023. He also extended an Invitation to the Vice Chancellor as a Chief Guest to the Opening Ceremony for “Yeongdeok International Hi-Wellness FESTA 2024” on October 3, 2024, which uniquely combines traditional Korean Medicine with Indian Ayurveda and offers various experiences to participants, promoting the importance of mental health.
The Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, University of Delhi Professor Yogesh Singh shared his wonderful experience during the visit to Gyeongsangbuk do Province, South Korea and his meeting with the H.E. Governor of the Province in October 2023 during the Gyeongbuk International Hi-Wellness FESTA 2023. He also emphasized on the existing ties with South Korea and the need to strengthen our ties further through collaboration in the field of Ayurveda Yoga.
The possibility of mutual collaboration in the field of traditional medicinal system of both countries has been discussed and to sign an MoU in this regard between the two institutions in near future. Professor Tanuja Manoj Nesari, Director, All India Institute of Ayurveda, an autonomous organization under the Ministry of Ayush and affiliated with the University of Delhi also joined the discussion.
