“अभ्युदय” Sets the Tone for Future-Ready Education at JSS University, Noida

Over 1,700 Newly Admitted Students Embark on a Journey of Academic Excellence, Innovation and Holistic Development Noida, 3 August 2026: JSS University, Noida today inaugurated “अभ्युदय“, its six-day Orientation & Induction Programme for the Academic Year 2026–27, marking the beginning of an exciting academic journey for more than 1,700 newly admitted students of B.Tech, B.Pharm and D.Pharm programmes. The inauguration witnessed the enthusiastic participation of students, parents, faculty members, university officials, media representatives and distinguished guests, reflecting the University’s commitment to providing a transformative and student-centric learning experience.

The inaugural ceremony was graced by Dr. Anmol M. Andhare, Joint Secretary, University Grants Commission (UGC), New Delhi, as the Chief Guest, in the presence of Dr. Lalith Verma, Special Officer, JSS Mahavidyapeetha, Dr. H. R. Mahadevaswamy, Vice Chancellor, JSS University, Noida, along with senior university leadership.

Welcoming the students and parents, the Registrar Dr.T.G.Mamatha emphasized the University’s commitment to academic excellence and holistic student development. Dr. R. S. Jagadish, Organising Chair, presented an overview of the six-day programme, while the Dean- Academics introduced the University’s academic framework, interdisciplinary learning ecosystem, and industry-oriented educational approach.

Dr. Anmol M. Andhare, Joint Secretary, UGC, graced the occasion as Chief Guest. In his address, he spoke on the values of dedication, perseverance, curiosity, discipline, resilience, innovation, and patience, urging students to imbibe these qualities as they begin their academic journey. He congratulated the students on choosing prestigious JSS University for their higher education and expressed confidence that their journey ahead would contribute significantly to nation building.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. H. R. Mahadevaswamy, Vice Chancellor,  JSS University, Noida, inspired the students to view higher education as a journey of transformation rather than merely earning a degree.

“The next four years are not only about acquiring knowledge but about discovering your potential, developing character, embracing innovation and preparing to lead in a rapidly evolving global society. Attend every class, remain curious, participate in research, internships and innovation activities, and never stop learning. Your degree may open doors, but your attitude, skills and values will determine how far you go.”

He encouraged students to adapt confidently to university life, embrace continuous learning, make effective use of the semester system, participate actively in industry-oriented activities, and develop the global competencies required for the careers of tomorrow. He also urged students staying away from home to view the University as their second home, build meaningful friendships, respect diversity and uphold the values of the JSS tradition.

The six-day  “अभ्युदय” programme has been thoughtfully designed to ensure a smooth transition from school to university life. It features interactive sessions on the National Education Policy (NEP 2020), academic regulations, Universal Human Values, emerging technologies, Artificial Intelligence, innovation and entrepreneurship, research opportunities, career planning, communication skills, leadership development, wellness, student support systems, sports, cultural integration and campus life. Students will also participate in departmental interactions, laboratory visits, digital learning orientation and engagements with experts from academia, industry and research organisations.
